Seats

Alternatively, the phil&teds dot is a brilliant single buggy from day 1 that is able to easily be adapted to take 2 (or 3!) in a variety of configurations. This is particularly helpful if you have an infant in a car seat, since the frame can be fitted with a wedgie to allow for optimal lie-flat positioning, or car seat adapters to many brands.
Suspension
The suspension of a double 3-wheel buggy will determine how easily you and your child/children can push it. three wheel pushchair is crucial to have a smooth ride as babies can feel every bump that comes along the road. This is especially the case if you're driving on rough terrain such as grass or unpaved roads. Some models also have locking front wheels to assist in maneuvering and navigating obstacles such as curbs.
Certain models have air-filled tyres which will give you a great all-terrain experience, but they can be prone to punctures, so make sure you have a spare set in the trunk. Other models use gel or foam tyres that are designed to take the bumps and can be less susceptible to punctures, but you might find them a little stiff and uncomfortable on your child's back should you choose to jog.

Folding
A three-wheel double buggy can be folded up neatly to store it. There are models that fold flat, stand up (as as if they were the form of a pushchair) and those that pop out to reveal a more umbrella-style folding, with a hand-operated break. In general the more wheels a buggy comes with the more comfortable it will be to navigate on rough terrain. This is particularly true if your wheels are bigger than the average size. You will have more stability, and it will be less likely that you need to flip or tip your child.

It can also accommodate the form of a car seat or a carrycot, so you can have the best of both worlds. it will help your budget in the future since you don't need to purchase a new buggy as soon as you get it.
