3 Wheeled Buggies
A 3-wheel buggy is utilized for off-road trails and for tackling terrain such as bumpy pavements or tracks in woodlands. They are also easier to maneuver around kerbs than 4-wheel models.
MadeForMums reviews editor Kath tried one of these three-wheelers with her newborn and 3 year old, and put it through its paces on asphalt and on the muddy ground. You can read her full review here.
Stability
Four-wheel buggies, with their centre of gravity balanced by your child's weight within the seat are generally more stable than three-wheelers. However, that doesn't mean a three-wheel buggy isn't worth a look, since some of these models are made to cope with anything from rough terrain to bustling high-streets.
If you want a buggie that is easy to maneuver and will not let you down on bumpy roads, look for one with big rear wheels and a lockable front wheel. These buggies are typically equipped with pneumatic tyres, too. They are excellent for handling surfaces that aren't paved and can even be used on sandy beaches or tracks in woodland.
These are also the best buggies to be running around in, as they provide great stability over rougher ground and help you keep pace with your running partner. They can also be used to go up and down steep kerbs and many of them come with a spring suspension that is built-in, so your child will enjoy an enjoyable ride.
One thing that can make a 3-wheeled pushchair difficult to maneuver is the broad frame, which makes it more difficult to maneuver through tight spaces and narrow doorways than a 4-wheeler. Some manufacturers have addressed this problem with a clever design which turns the wheels upside down when they are not in use. This reduces their size and makes it easier to maneuver through doors.
If yes, look for a lie-flat positioning and also whether the design is compatible with second seats and buggy boards (if you'd like to add the toddler). If so, check for the ability to lie flat and if the design is compatible with second seats and buggy boards (if you'd like to add an infant onboard). A lot of 3-wheelers fold flat and be stood upright when collapsed and is handy if you have an insufficient car boot or limited storage space at home. However, some require you to take out the front wheel before folding in order to fit into even more compact spaces.
Manoeuvrability
Three-wheeled buggies typically provide better maneuverability than pushchairs with four wheels. A majority of them have an swivelling wheel at the front that allows you to control and change direction with one hand. Some models also have a lockable front wheel which gives you the stability you need on rough terrain. Some models can be used with a second seat or buggy board if you're looking to increase the size of your family.
If you're thinking of taking your three-wheeled vehicle off of roads, you should consider opting for a vehicle equipped with tyres filled with air (also called pneumatic tyres) which can cope with the most difficult terrain. They may have to be pumped up from time to intervals, but they'll be more durable and puncture-proof compared to solid tyres. It is recommended to choose models with an adjustable front wheel that is locked to assist you in navigating difficult terrains.
When folded, three-wheelers may be heavier than four-wheeled buggies due to the single wheel in front. Be sure that the model you choose fits inside your car's boot and can be positioned upright if required. Some models are able to fold with one hand, and they're freestanding when they're collapsed, which will save space in boot spaces that are smaller.
A good three-wheel pushchair can be used on all terrains, from busy streets to forest tracks. It is important to consider what you'll be using it for every day. If you'll be running the school run using it, it must be able handle steep slopes and kerbs. If you intend to jog on it, ensure it has a swivelling "stretch front wheel' that is locked. This will help keep the ride smooth.

Kath the MFM reviewer, discovered that her stroller with three wheels was able to handle both urban and rural walks. She said it could navigate cobbles, rough paths and bumpy pavements easily and was comfortable when running. It's also a great choice for day trips, as it offers plenty of storage space, including a huge ample basket with a zip-top cover as well as an extendable 50+ UV hood. It can also be adapted to fit babies as young as a lie-flat seat or carry cot, in addition to being compatible with a variety of popular second seats and buggy boards.
Fabric Sling Seat
The key difference between a fabric sling versus a modular seat is that the fabric sling sits snugly inside the buggy frame as opposed to sitting on top like a modular seat would. This allows for a more ergonomically correct position for baby, which instantly delivers an lower centre of gravity at the right height. This translates into an easier push, a less hefty curb pop (you don't require much effort or weight to push the buggy over the curb's edge) and a better balance and stability.
These seats also come with Sling fabrics that are simple to clean and durable. These fabrics were designed specifically for sling chairs and are extremely durable and breathable. They also have a great aging resistance and are very easy to clean with water and soap.
If you're a jogger or you like off-roading, an all terrain buggy is more suited to your requirements than a four-wheeled buggy. These types tend to have a wider, more stable base and utilise air filled tyres for agile smooth moving over rough terrain.

Modular Seat
Modular seating can be arranged in a variety of ways to accommodate different seating needs. Modular seating can be easily adjusted to create a relaxing space to watch movies or a spacious arrangement for entertaining guests. Many modular seating systems come with removable cushion covers which make it easier to clean spills and stains.
Modular Seating is available in different designs to complement your current decor or as an accent piece. You can pick from a variety of colors, fabrics, and shapes to design an elegant and modular seating design that fits your style. 3-wheel buggies are especially suitable for off-road or all terrain adventures because they offer more stability than strollers with four wheels. The large, extremely maneuverable front wheel allows for a quick and smooth movement, whereas the tyres are typically filled with air and have suspension, which gives you a great ride on the roughest trails and roads. The wheels aren't as close to the ground on these pushchairs, as they are with four wheeled pushchairs. This makes them perfect for walking uphill.
Parents who love to run and jog with their kids usually opt for strollers with three wheels because they are more agile and sleeker than their 4-wheel counterparts. The GB Upp XL for example has a sleek burnished silver aluminium frame, with a quick one-hand fold and forward and rear facing seats. Meanwhile, the Babyzen Yoyo has an all black frame, a carrycot that has a full lie flat position, air-filled tyres and 3 recline positions.
Another great all-terrain option is the light, extremely maneuverable and fashionable Mountain Buggy Sport verso. This buggy truly future proofs your wallet and can be used from the moment you are born with the carrycot, right through to toddlerhood with the seat that can be rearranged (and beyond!). It does this all within the footprint of a single buggy.
